Jeremy was described by Alex Ross from New Yorker magazine as the “manically dancing, shouting” double bassist for his part in the world premier of Stockhausen’s Mittwoch aus Licht for the Birmingham Opera Company in 2012. This outlandish behaviour isn’t typical of all his solo performances, though Jeremy does endeavour to bring as much energy as he can to every performance, be it onstage with 80 of his orchestral colleagues, or alone in recital.
